I don't spend a lot of time in the survival section, to my shame but wanted to welcome you to the site anyway.

Welcome aboard. It seems that interest in survival related topics has gone up in recent months. There's some good folks here in which to discuss such subject matter with and should prove a valuable resource to you.

Lots of good and some not so good advice here, pick and choose..

Anyway, tell us something bout yourself, as in where in the USA, etc.  Different advice for FLA and ND, for example.  BTW, sometimes we have regional campouts and feel free to attend one.

Ok, Montana boy here..life long outdoorsman, I shoot IDPA and am rabid RKBA 2nd amend homebrewer that still likes his creature comforts.

There's a diff in surviving and surviving well, me thinks.

Lurked for awhile - now its time to pony up for a membership.

I like the mentality of this forum, so lets have some fun and get our learn on.

Welcome! Don't wear your tinfoil too tight.

It looses effectiveness if its too close to your skull.

(Public Service Announcement)  Welcome!  The exits are located two to the front, to to the middle and two to the rear.  In the unlikely event of irrationality your Mod can be used as a flotation device to keep your topic above water. (Public Service Announcement)

I would suggest reading the stickys.  They are very handy, but most folks forget they are there.  There is a ton of useful information.  Try searching for as much as you can think of as it relates to survival.  If you don't find something, ask, and generally people will first say, use the search function but will still link you to what you seek.  It's great to see new folks here.  See you around.
