For those of you that have discussed using a bike to bug out, I spotted this outside of a McDonalds and thought of you guys.
If you are going by bike, this would be the way to go. (Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic through a tinted window  )

That particular trailer is cheap but not as comfortable or durable as some of the better quality trailers. The advantage of that trailer is that you can usually find them used fairly cheap (think craigslist).
My sister rode her bike and camped across Europe in the 1970s. My brother has gone on week long bike treks carrying everything. I was riding 30-40 miles a day last summer in an effort to build up to a 170 mile ride to my BOL. Unfortunately, unrelated knee problem prevented me from going for it. However, I now have new knee and am working it for a possible try in Sept. |
