I was lookng at surefire's yesterday at cabelas but wasnt sure what would be the best one to get. Looking to spend up to $100 on one at the most. What would you recommend? Also what would be the best mount to get for it? If there are any websites that carry the mounts could you put up a link? thanks!

I'd recommend a G2 LED, 1" scope ring, and this mount from Optics Planet.

I have this setup on two M4 handguards and I really like it.

I'd recomend the G2 LED also and the Vicking mount or the elzetta depneding on if you have a rail or not.

I have one of those surefires that has the mount built right into it, fits on a standard rail. Don't know off hand what the number is but I like it alot though I guess the downside is kind of hard to take it off and use as a hand held flashlight but don't really see the need for that.
I bought it off a returning soldier for around $25 at the flea market who used it in Iraq and needed the money now....Think I did pretty good but maybe if you look around you can find a simular deal. With all these returning soldiers I see them selling lots of stuff like this now.....T.

I'd be real careful about buying military issued gear. It not legal since it's basically stolen. $25 is a really good deal, those lights are a couple hundred bucks.

I use a CAA mount for my Surefire 6P LED.

I like including it with the VFG and can get the light out if for some reason I need it seperatlely

Where do you put your hand?

looks like the mount is directly below the handguard.
