| I've acquired a big shop First Aid Kit from work. It has a big bunch of everything. I put it together, and then proceded to shove it all in a big Multi Purpose Coyote bag from Specter and realized it is HUGE. I'm wondering what all you folks have in your BOB FAK. I'll get a couple pics up later of everything that is in mine currently. Thanks |

Well it depends on which kit. In total I have almost everything legally possible...
In my IFAK I small thigns that would be needed for a GSW: Abd pads, guaze, QuickClot(although its not a good idea to use it), shears, Ausherman seals, gloves, alchol pads, tage, and cravats. My BOB FAK is litterally a large duffel bag that I can through into my truck bed if I need to move. It has everything useable by a BLS person. Then I have my primary med bag I keep in my truck. This too has everything that I could possibly have to use in the field (I am an emergency med tech). I then have another bag that is set up for O2 (also in my truck). It has both size BVMs, nassals, orals, NRBs, and nassal cannulas. The first thing you should do is make sure you know what all this "stuff" is and learn how to use it. I highly recommend getting involved with a volunteer First Aid Squad and getting your EMT license. It is alot of time, but for the survivalist it is highly worth it in the long run. |
