Has anyone tried it?
I was either thinking of a modded Medium ALICE or an Eberlestock pack as the actually BOB itself. I found a decent deal on the pack I'm looking at and would like a couple of opinions on the matter before I consider the purchase more. |

I have - I use the Gunslinger for my BOB. I am thinking of switching to the Operator model for the ease of access. I have nothing but high praise for the Gunsliger pack. It holds a great deal of gear, it's very comfortable even when fully loaded - and I can put a 16" carbine or shotgun in the pack easily.
The build quality is very good, the padding is exactly what you'd hope to get and I've managed to attach all kinds of gear to the outside of the pack as well. I don't know what else you'd like to know - but I doubt you'll regret it if you get one. Dean |

I was out this weekend and loaded mine to 75 pounds and it carried like a dream. Went this past weekend on a 10 mile with elevation gain from 2800 feet to 6000 feet in a little over a mile. THe rest of the trip was typical up and down and the pack performed beautifully. I would say that 30-100 pounds and the pack is at its best |
