Guys,

As far as prepping goes, I'm on my way. Not one of the big players, but I've got some good stuff so far.

Here's the thing: How should I utilize my attic? I've got tons of space, but anything I think about putting up there is not the type of stuff you should store in your attic. It gets very hot in the summer...and pretty cold in the winter.

The folks at MH told me that their stuff stores best at room temperature. (Got an order on the way)

What do you think?

i keep some stuff up there that is bulky.  but not food.

luggage, duffles, window a/c unit in the winter.

if you have any critters, they love sleeping bags.

I posted the same sort of question last year.

The consensus was things like paper goods: paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, clothing, tents, sleeping bags and salt were good things to stick up there. At least that's what's stuffed inside mine. I have two portions of an attic to use and use the bottom/cooler one. The top one is a blast furnace come summertime here in the desert southwest.

You'll want to make sure that there is no access for rodents. I've never found them up there but still put out Thompson's Tom Cat poison bait just for good measure.
