Looks like SorbentSystems has some good prices on this stuff Any idea which bags I want? They sure have a lot of choices... I want maybe a 1or 2 gal size which looks to be like a 10x14 but which one? With just 2 of us I'd rather pack smaller quantities..Also what size (cc) of O2 absorbers and how many do I need to use in each bag? Did a search under 'mylar' here and didnt get much info
Thanks in advance! |

Anyone know it the smaller mylar bags will work in a Food Saver vacum sealer? my foodsaver v2840, will not get hot enought to seal mylars efficiently. I would recommend using a Iron or clamshell heat sealer, the latter is what I have - we cycle through alot of our preps, and it has paid for itself several times over in my opion |

Go larger and re-use the bag. you'll want .4+ mill bags, I use 200cc packs and will add two if there is alot of air in the bag depending on what's going in the bag. For eample less for rice, more for pasta. 20"X30" is for 5or6 gal buckets and with those I use 2kcc absorbers. |
