Linky

Not really my thing I went to go check it out just to see it, runs, diesel and tacticool OD green. Inside looks like his wife kicked him out and he has been living in it.

Duece

went to go see this, probably going to leave it at my BOL, offered the guy 4k for it I hope it goes through I sold my last Duece, to my Aunt and is now a farm truck. I hate to have to deal with EUC again.

and has trouble starting when it's extremely cold

Normal for diesels. That's why God created ether.

ETA I've also heard that in very cold weather, you can mix up to 10% gasoline with your diesel to help with starting, but I've never done it. When very cold, diesel fuel becomes very thick.

Owners manual for mine says up to 30% petrol. Kero is preferred. Mine is indirect mechanical injection, don't know about common rail stuff. Won't help you get it started if you've got no glow plugs though.

I've done the 'D85' trick when in colder areas with my diesel. 4gal of gas to 21gal of diesel. No ill effects and seemed to run really well. I don't think I'd buy that van thing. It's interesting and all but I hate that old 6.2L GM diesel. If you have somewhere to park the duece and a half, I think they are pretty cool. A little too big for me. I'm dieing for a Pinz.

That van would make an excellent tour van for bands, with just a little elbow grease.

+ 1 on Kero, AV gas starts up in very cold weather and works as well
