Ok, so I feel I owe the older members here a basic explination since I did recieve some PMs on my last post.
It was a bad week in all, which stemmed from bad weeks prior. I believe over all it was a mix of being depressed over the elections, having an injury from work which kept me from doing about everything except for typing obviously. The wife basically finding every excuse in the book to help out with gardening, wanting to learn how to put things on ebay we need to get rid of. Yet when I look at her, she is relaxing in front of the TV.. blah blah blah... So it all built up and got to me. Hell there was even a couple of guys who approached me about a group, which was a flop... A huge one at that... lol If your interested, Ill tell you about that one. Pretty much the same story though, things happen peolpe get scared and then all is well in pleseantville again. I came here to express my disdain because I figured there would be enough people to get my mind back where it needed to be. Which many who replied to the post did send me that direction, though there were some who I just couldnt figure out where they were comming from.  Lonewolves I suppose...
I did notice something from that though, there is definatly a lot of new guys here with much different ideas then when I joined... Probably why I made changes I did months back... Anywho, I am now back to the inventory control and pecking away at the keyboard on my site and this one again. I am working on putting my Line gear in article formats so its easier to show others another way to go about it. I have made some mediocore strides since the last time I showed any of my gear on here... Of course I have also made some dumb purchases as well, though who dosnt do that... Keep a look out on ebay guys, there will be things going up for sale in the near future... Some things I have given a lot of thought to over the past months are Barter Items, Gardening, storage of all of these and food items. I was able to get a hold of quite a few buckets to sue for food storage and started to purchase mylar for making that happen.... Then I noticed I was buying out of fear and got away from my plan which I was following so intently. So, now I am working on getting back on that plan.. I tell you there have been some awsome deals on ebay as of late on IBA, and K-pots... Ammo as you all know has sky rocketed.... Ill be adding one to those deals as well, I have an RBR -pot I need to get rid of.... I will close this with a message for the newer folks on here... Take your time and think about the end result of what you are preparing for. Focus on what you wont always be able to get and get it out of the way... I as most dont expect the crap will hit the spinner soon... You will have time to get alot of other things out of the way later... Thanks for your time and understanding... RjSteed |

ups and downs man,,ups and downs.
You'll come around and get right. KISS it all, and it will go easier. We all evolve in one way or another, you'll be alright. sides that we do have alot of new guys, times are changing and so are many views and ideas from the past. |

I'm well aware that there are ups and downs, just suck when it all come close together and your left with no one to talk except the keyboard.. You cant explain everything as easily. Im already alright again... Was a couple of days after that post... Gave me sometime to think of how to go about discussing things with the wife and try to work out the issues. Some of the replies left me wondering... How are things going on your end, I noticed you all about video on youtube now... Struck me oddly being that you didnt seem so into that before. |

it's alright man, everybody strays off the strait and narrow every now and then.
just remember the kiss principle when buying stock and you got it made, become a tightwad with the wallet, take a good look at how the item fits into your preps and at second glance a lot of geewhiz stuff is just that, it don't fit in as something you'd use later down the line. |

i never saw the thread your speaking of i just figured i'd give y ou a 3 second pep talk and help lift you up...been times where even i have gotten down on certain things, few days later its all good and moving along with life. That's part of surviving IMHO,, putting stuff aside and doing what needs to be done to keep going. When we dwell on issues or the past it will drag you down! stay safe.. |
