I live out in the country and, therefore, have a well with a standard electric pump. This, of course, means no water if the power is out. Is there any good way to set up a manual backup to the electric well should I be without power for an extended period of time? I'm looking for something that is high reliability and low maintenance that will still allow my electric pump to function normally when the power is on.
Any ideas? |

Theres not much other than a back up power source, generator or battery, that will let your current pump work in place.
There are plenty of manual pumps on the market. Most require a shallow to mid depth well (~300ft max). But these are dedicated to their own well and pipe. Manual Pumps |

I sent ABS Alaska an email almost a week ago and have gotten nothing in response. I will try again but does anyone know of another supplier of this type of manual well?
Customer service is important to me and ignoring an email from a potential customer isn't a good start. |
