What are you using them for? The previously mentioned Scott Promask is excellent. I do like the MSA MCU-2/Millenium/Adv 1000 series as well for a couple of reasons. 3m 7800 is an excellent mask (if it fits you), a little heavier but very flexible in what it can do (I have a non-average face shape and the 7800 doesn't fit me). The Scott AV2000 types are also very flexible, you rarely see them used as air purifying respirators although they are common in SCBA/Firefighting use. The AV2000 has adapters for both their own filters that are common with half masks and also the NATO/EN 40mm threaded filters. After you pick the full face mask then that might make your decision on the half mask as far as filter interchangability. For a cheap half mask I like the MSA Advantage 200, the MSA Comfo Elite is a superb fitting mask but a little more expensive. Recently there were a ton of the Scott promasks on ebay under another brand name very cheap, I don't know if there are any left though. |
