Long May She Wave! It's my Independence Day tradition to read the Declaration of Independence and Patrick Henry's "Give me Liberty or give me death" oratory to my children. Hard not to choke up, reading those words while your children sit at your knee! I hope I can be half the man Patrick Henry was.

Thank you die-tryin and the same to everyone. me and the little robie1s hung out old glory this morning before we went to ride the fire engines, a long tradition with a firestation down here; been doing it since I was little. I was interviewed buy our local FOX affiliate this morning on the meaning of independence day to me. then it was back to base for barbecueing, ice cream making (vanilla with Heath candy pieces), swimming, shooting fireworks, and spending some great time with family and friends. Celebration still going on since this a.m., but I wanted to check in and see what everyone had to say on this great day.

GOD BLESS YOU SERVICEMEN WHO MAKE THIS DAY HAPPEN! HAVE A BEER ON ME!
