Just a reminder to everyone, to update and confirm numbers for your home phone dialing directories (built into many telephones today), and your phone directories on your cell phones.

It's amazing how fast numbers can change, or become outdated, etc...

I have just finished updating all of my close family, friends, and repair numbers for all the utility type companies in my phones.  If I'm away from the house and am told there is a problem at my house, I can quickly and easily contact the right people, and if something happens where I need to get in touch with someone quickly, I have the number at my fingertips.

No finding a phonebook or calling information, etc.  Just one more small way to be prepared, and sometimes a few minutes can mean a big difference - not to mention the stress it takes off of you in a bad situation of any type.

Some phones even have a speed dial you can program for fire, police, etc.  This is a good idea too - (unless you have small children who like to play with the phone....)

I always carry hard copy in my wallet as well.

I've picked up the cell and the battery is dead once too often, or imagine losing it, or having it destroyed... it'd be damn handy to have some of your contacts written down in a couple places.
