| How much gear do you keep with in reach (ie, closet same room where you normally hang out in) and what is stashed away from you. I live in a two storey house and am wondering how much is not enough to have in physical proximaty of me. |
|
I keep "Ol' painless" (12ga Remington 870) above the door to the walk in closet in my bedroom. flashlight/nite light combo in most rooms. I don't keep much besides preps in the basement. lanterns/ fuel in garage or shed. I live in ranch style house so I can't say what i'd split up in a two story. My only suggestion is keep a gun where you can get to it in a hurry |

Bob should be kept near your Exit to the outside world. At home very simply I keep the Bob near the exit and I keep my EDC stuff with me. If I decide to just lounge around the house I usually clip that kind of stuff to my murse and put it some place I can grab while walking out the door. |
| I CCw from the minute I get dressed in the morning to the minute I get undressed at night. All the rest of my SHTF gear is upstairs while I am downstairs most of the time, but close enough for me to get to very quickly. BOB is packed and ready to go even though the plan is to bug in. |

my bob is kept next to an exterior wall by the garage door. In the event of an earth quake, flood, etc. The exterior walls would be less likely to collapse and in theory should not collapse flat. Meaning there should be some protected space that I can still access the bag. The bag will be of no use if it is in a closet buried under the house. |
