The ol' screwbaru wrx is getting long in the tooth, and with a kid on the way, I need a car with a backseat anyhow (rollcage=no backseat )..  we need a daily driver for me that I can cheaply put a lot of miles on.. = 4 door compact

however, from a survival perspective, I am also wanting to keep a dual use in mind.. I want to be able to haul a lot of gear (e.g. hatchback, fold down seats), and something with a little higher stance and good in snow would be a +.  Its not going to replace our Jeep libby as the primary BOV, but be a gas sipping reliable cargo hauler #2 bov..   the current wrx has zero cargo hauling power, and is worthless unless the SHTF consists of a drag race down a windy road , so anything would be an upgrade.

Im thinking of something like a honda FIT..     what say you, survival forum?

Yeah, but it was the brand new Mustang that was the tree magnet!
