In my state we have a state office called the extension service which has all sorts of programs on farming and animal husbandry including cheep books and pamphlets . I would expect they run a website also .
None of this is very new (or really needs to be)

Start by doing a computer search for your state agriculture Dept .

I would guess 4-H or Future Farmers might have something also.

Are you talking backyard hobby type SHTF type or a big commercial setup?

There are many many books out there on raising rabbits. When I was younger, we raised them for food. We had 2 bucks, and 4 does, and that kept us in a good supply of rabbit meat. Most places have county extension offices, and they are a great resource to use. There are also numerous websites and forums dedicated to this very subject. Rabbit meat is a lot drier than chicken, and you have to keep that in mind when you cook it. Their offal makes great fertilizer. Many people will set up a worm bed underneath the rabbit cages, and raise worms as well. The worms can be sold, or used to feed animals such as chickens.

Gettin about that time to start thinking about rabbits. It seems the best time around here is around Easter. You can usually pick up left over New Zelands for about 5.00 each. Think I'll put in a few hutches this year.

Unles your talking big comercial type deal theirs not to much to it.

We raised them when i was a kid and sold fryer rabbits. I guess that was my job to help pay for ammo back then
We probably had 10-12 does and 3-4 bucks iirc.

Unless you really like rabbit that will produce more than you want to eat most likely...

I don't know about your area but we only had to put up a sign once people left their phone numbers and we just called when we had some. Never had any trouble selling all of them.....

Things to remember  a rabbit can claw you good with those hind legs if it's in the wrong mood most aren't that way but just a heads up if you've never messed with them.

Every once in a while you'll get a crazy doe that will kill her babys etc etc....... they do it a cpl times just turn'm into rabbit and dumplins

If you never seen rabbits make other rabbits......... your buck didn't have a heart attack he'll get back up It's been 27 yrs but i don't think i'll ever forget thinking that rabbit is dead

I raised them for several years, and it is always funny to watch.

He sniffs around, then gets on and pounds away like mad for about 10 seconds, then falls over backwards.

2 minute man, no we are talking about 10 SECOND rabbit.

IDK those va rabbits may be into foreplay and cudling afterwards
But all the ones i remember were basically like TheInvisibleSoul described although that first one we had the way he kicked off backwards...... i thought he needed a cardiac cart

Those were Tx rabbits too...... more i think about it i wonder if those rabbits werent seeing Halffast blasting around on the yellow rocket and playing dead before he got to'em

One other rabbit thing the does pull some fur out to make a nest before they have the little ones....... so don't think she's lost her mind.

Shoveling rabbit dropings for the garden isn't exactly the most fun thing ever either ......

IIRC the exchange rate was about 24 fryers for a 1000rnds of 223/5.56 back then......

In addition to the backflip, most of our bucks make a little "sneeze" sound at the moment of truth.
Get a buckand two does and have at it. Has been TONS postedabout raising rabbits on here over the years.
(we eat 100+ a year, and no one complains)
