I stumbled across this Blog a while back and have been reading it ever since.  I don't agree with a lot that the writer says, but it does make me think and is often good for a laugh.  It also occasionally has some good info.  It's kind of a polar opposite to Rawles' Blog.  I thought some of you might enjoy it.

I read it daily.  I don't get much good information from it, but it is updated daily and is sometimes entertaining.

Just killed 20 minutes tooling around there.  Actually enjoyed the read.  The guy would probably make a good addition to my block, but I wouldn't want him right next door.

Been reading the Blog for a while now and yes he is the polar opposite of Rawles blog.

Sometimes it's more of a rant then prep tips, but one cannot deny his methods are the down and dirty low cost preps for post-tshtf.  He lives a very thrifty life style.

It's actually nice to see a blog where they don't insist you MUST have the top dollar, newest survival item just so you can possibly survive.  aka, elitest Suvivalist mentality..

I read it and he certainly seems to be pretty down to earth.  He just doesn't mess around with pleasantries.  My kind of guy

I too have been reading the guy for awhile.  I was even on his newsletter list when he emailed people his writing on a topic or two each week, which was a few years back.

I do like the fact he doesn't declare you must have the latest, greatest top dollar thing or you will nave no hope of surviving the apocalypse.

I don't care for his constant pissy tone though.  Must never have heard that insulting one's audience is the best way to ensure you'll be talking to yourself sooner rather than later.

Plus, I do think he's pushing his frugal method of prepping to the extreme at times, like a suggestion that the cheap multitools or rifle scopes are a good idea.  People will be betting their lives and the lives of those they care on on the ability of their prep items to preform as intended.  Failure of those items could very well doom you.

Finally, he seems to beat the same drum a lot.  I'd like to hear about the recipes he uses with his wheat, or the results he gets with his Lee Enfields, or the shooting drills he does, something.  I suspect the reason he doesn't write about that is that he doesn't do any of it-it sounds like he doesn't do anything with the wheat really, or does any rifle practice, etc.

I think you hit the nail on the head with most 'prep blog' sites.  There are those very few who actually walk the walk and do what they write about and those that don't who are just talkers or like to see their words in print.

Any other "Prep" blog sites you guys and gals know about you'd be willing to post?
