I'm looking to add lip medication to my daily supplies.  Cracked/chapped/windburned lips is something I don't want to have to deal with when a potential emergency situation would require my undivided attention.

I want something that can handle the Texas heat and still do what it was intended to do - pevent or heal chapped lips.  My Chapstick didn't past the heat test.

Any thoughts?

As someone who consistently spends a ,ot of time outside in summer, I'll say you NEED lip balm with SPF 15 or more.  Sunburned lips are no fun.  A couple of bucks buys a LOT of comfort.

Blistex has always worked well for me.

I'd vote for Carmex in the little screw top canister or anything in a squeeze tube.

Try Beeswax lip balm. My wife picked up a small tin and it works really well. The tine is about the size of a quarter and about 5 times as thick.

Its also a comfort item.  Women go thru that stuff like we go thru .22lr.

I've been using Lip Trip daily for years. Colorado is dry and the mountains are harsh. This stuff blocks the sun and the wind nicely, and it lasts on the lips for a while.

stay away from anything containing menthol, dries the lips out, then you feel like you need more.

sorta like drinking saltwater to quench the thirst

+1 on Burt's Bees. They make a sunblock formula, look for the red cap.
