| I am looking to get a G2 LED. Has anyone had any experience with them and how is the quality. It will be used for emergency and some camping use. |
|
I bought this module store.bugoutgearusa.com/cosoplcrmo.html and upgraded my G2. All I can say is that CREE technology is friggin' awesome. |

Try this if you already have a 6P or the "nitrolon" version. www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6090 |
No way that is correct. Is it? |
Yes. Actually, when I bought mine over the summer, the ad said 165 lumen. The incredible part is, you get that output out of a 2-cell light for two hours, then the output kicks down a bit and you get another hour or more. Beats the hell out of the stock module that gives you an hour of light, then darkness. Worth every penny of the $39 for me. |
how well will these hold up to weapon recoil? thinking about this for a AR weapon mount on my G2 flashlight? |
The bulb element is generally what breaks on a conventional bulb, with the LED technology there is no element to break, the one and only reason I've kept the standard bulb with shock isolator bezel on my AR is because if you were to use that super bright white light LED in a smoke filled room alot of that light is reflected back at your eyes, sort of like using your high beams in the fog. |
