just emergency kits for the cars. Doesn't include tools, they're separate.

I'll add an inventory later if any one is interested.

Are those jumper cables?

Yes. When i was putting all this together I realized we didnt have cables in the cars either. I have since realized they aren't the best quality, but will probably do in a pinch. May upgrade in the future, but I really don't like to buy things twice. Live and learn: sometimes its better to pay for quality.

You have 5 cars? Do you drive them all that often that you can't move the kit from car to car? Perhaps have 2-3 in your most used vehicle?

Can you give us a detailed list of items you have?

It looks like a kit for 5 cars if you look from top to bottom in rows starting at the jumper cables

Maybe it is for different family members that will likely be in different locations

Sweet.

Power pack to jump your own vehicle, ditch cotton pullovers for fleece maybe.
Leather gloves, duct tape (oops...missed it), zip ties.

Good idea on the leather gloves...although I was thinking more warmth than work. No snow shovels in TX. And i have zip ties in their tool boxes, but more in the bags is a good idea.

Need to put in Emergency blankets, or better yet: Heet Sheets. probably could use a little cash, too....$40 in small bills should be good. And shoes....told them to put some old but good walking shoes in there but I bet that haven't done it.

But the thing I'm most proud of.....I remembered the Tampax. In times of need you could be a hero with those.

By the way, without the cables the bags weigh about 10 lbs (those tarps and the water add a lot of wieght).

Recomendations or improvement would be appreciated.

I would add in safety glasses, and make sure they use them if they need to use the jumper cables. Most people go battery to battery to jump a vehicle and that can blow up the battery being jumped. It has happened on the job site two different times now.

throw in some 550 cord, or at least some of th cheapy clothesline cordage. this stuff can prove invaluable from simply tying down the rug they bought for a dorm or apt. to the car roof to stringing up an improvised shelter, to a tourniquet, etc...

also some 55gal contracts grade trashbags, or a couple square yards of 4 mil plastic, impromptu emergancy poncho, drybags for gear, temporary replacement of a carwindow if broken, etc...

fixed blade knife
heavy duty trash bag
small bottle of water purifying tablets
compass
bandannas ( sling, ascot  etc )
Head lamp ( LED) (so you can work on the car with light hands free)

Oh yeah and it looks like the leg on your ottoman is crooked. Can you fix that it's buggin' me.
