| Found this LINK to what I think is the best blast radius map I've seen so far. Only shows radii for blast and over pressure, not fallout, but it overlays the rings on a google map and you can input the lat and long of anyplace on earth. much more usefull that the Federation of Scientists map and I havent seen this on ARFCOM yet. I've used it to visualize out how far the property I'm looking at is from the closest large city. Excellent tool. Might be worth a pin. |

I am far enough away from atlanta that if they hit the ATL with a 20000 KT (20 meg) It still wouldnt hit me. The little red line is about a mile from my house....But then again thats close enought to do me in....But then again...again...Thats a big ass bomb, So I think I am good....But my plans to move another 20 or so miles west are still in effect. Now I gotta check brimingham, Looks good there too. ETA: it surprises me to see how many people think that a nuke hitting atlanta would mean certain death to all of us, and they live further out than I do. I try to educate them but they are older than me so I dont know what I am talking about. |
