Hey guys,

I'm new to fly fishing and I'm wondering if and how you carry whil fishing? It's not bear country or anything, and concealed would be preferred. Just wondering.

I carry my G20 in a chest rig while fly fishing (bear country).

Other times, I just strong side carry.

While hunting or fishing or going to or from, are pretty much the only time you can open carry in Florida. I know a woman who has cattle and a holstered .45 colt on her saddle. To keep it all legal she has a pocket fisherman in her saddle bag.

I carry my Ruger Custom shop .357 SS single action in a Rugged Outdoors chest holster.
I always carry up here as you may run into the errant dope grower, let alone the wandering bear and pr a timber wolf.

Under vest or in an inner vest pocket.

If you wear a vest, any pocket with a pocket holster. Sometimes in my wader pocket and sometimes in a KL Null shoulder rig.

Open carry. I have a blackhawk serpa clipped to my pack. Strong side carry.

I carry a variety of fairly inexpensive handguns while fishing. I have a couple Police-Trades that get most of the work.

I carry cheaper stuff because next time I have a boating accident, I want to cry less.

I don't bother to conceal, OC is common enough out here.

Open carry in shoulder holster while in Idaho. They look at you funny if you are not armed.

Concealed in normal IWB while in Texas.

I open carried while fy fishing in Maine sat month by wearing a holster on my wader belt. It was a glock so I did not care if t got wet.
