OK, here's the deal... I don't have a dock right now, I have to put the boat in and out each day I want to use it.
My brother and I were approached by a guy with some land along the river, and he is planning to get a boat himself. His deal is that if we build a removable dock and take care of putting it in and taking it out over the winter, we can use whichever side of the dock we want, indefinitely, as long as he can put his boat on the other side. So... That being said, I don't know what it takes to make a dock that I can haul out of the water in the fall. Does anyone have any good resources available? Hints? We have a mid-April deadline... Thanks! |

A floating dock with removable 4x4 support pilings would be easy to construct. The floats could be plastic or steel drums. The pilings could be made from pipe with some "feet" attached so it doesn't sink in the mud. The dock section is anchored to shore with two more 4x4 pilings.
How deep is the water at the dock site? How large are the boats? |
