Monsoon season is here and the winds are raging! The winds last night kicked up some monster waves on Saguaro Lake where I work. This boat was swamped when these waves crashed over the stern and filled it with water quickly. Bilge pumps didn't have a chance. The marina members who stayed on thier boats last night said the waves were unlike any others they have seen here.
The diver is "Charlie". He and I have recovered a few boats out of this lake.
I know this ain't no fishin' boat but give me some slack, it was 115 today.

Well, after weeks and weeks of waiting on the insurance co, upholstery, etc..etc.. It's done. What an ordeal! After waiting for a few weeks we were informed we got the job of repairing this boat. Everything was saturated with motor oil. The upholstery had to be delivered back to Eliminator in Perris CA. Roadtrip x 2. The hull was stripped of everything and given a thourough scrubbing to get rid of the oil. Engine was removed, stripped and fitted with all new electronics and electrics. Wiring harness removed and sent to mfg for duplication. I waited weeks for various parts and pieces (still waiting for the electric hatch lift) I re-installed all new gauges, cables, stereo etc...

I really looked forward to getting this job, but it really dragged waiting on things to come in. I'm glad it's over with.
On the bright side...I did have to test drive it
