Cant keep Red drum over 27 inches period. At the moment you cant keep any bottom game fish like snapper or grouper either. It sucks. We can go out and catch them all day long and they keep telling us their not there like they used to be. Its total bullshit. I can understand them limiting the commercial end but sport fishing is a miniscule piece.

They did the same with Snook a while back. You used to be able to keep one in the slot and one over. Now its one fish only, in the slot in season.

Well you can't keep redfish in federal waters period. In Alabama you can keep 3 reds a day one of which can be above slot. But why would you? The big fish aren't as good to eat as the smaller ones and they are so important to the future of the species that in my opinion conservation minded fishermen should be releasing them anyway!
