Fun facts regarding Ceratomia catalpae, from http://www.ag.auburn.edu/enpl/bulletins/catalpasphinx/catalpasphinx.htm
In Lee County in east-central Alabama, spring moth activity can be expected in most years from about mid April into early May.   Moths mate and females lay eggs in masses on the undersurface of leaves.   Masses may contain 100-1000 eggs (1).   Eggs usually hatch in five to seven days...

So depending upon your location, looks like it's still about 3 weeks away.

that's a pretty cool artical...  around in the late 80"s or early 90's had planted two cataba trees..  got one left... recently have noticed their's a bunch of moths just out side the door, not sure if they are the cataba type..  had heard their was a male & female tree, & the moths only lay eggs on one of them...  have never seen any cataba worms on this one... again thanks for info...
