My brother sent this to me earlier. I have fought with bird's nests all my life- especially when it's windy. This looks a lot more interesting than what i usually do- invent new cuss words and phrases.

I can't wait to give this method a try.  I am usually pretty good at avoiding backlash, but you know how that goes.  When I do get a backlash it is usually very big and the end of using that rod and reel for the day.

Thanks

This absolutely works.  I posted this, or a similar video in another thread.  I have only used a baitcaster for a year, and I assure you it works.  However, it does damage the monofilament line.

works, been doing it the same way since I started fishing with baitcasters about 25 years ago.

has found whin wind tis blowing in face, side arm work's best, over hand end up in a nest...  trial & air,  over hand get more air time...

I've used that method a lot and found it works great. Saves lots of frustration.

I was clearing a blacklash Sunday, and when I began to reel in, a damn 4 lb. largemouth was on the end of it (hit a hot pink 5" Senko).   Water was still a little cold and muddy as hell.   I guess the backlash forced me to fish slowly enough.

a buddy took me fishing once whin getting into his boat, he asked why u taking 4 fishing rods? explained that way don't have ta take time ta break & retie line to put different lures on..  we swong around inta a cove with some stump's, told him this looks like a good spot..   after about 20 minnutes of fishing he turned around ta cast, seen me messing with one of me reels, asked what ya doing, looked at him & said professional over ride, he shook his head, pointed ta oe of me other reels, use that one..  cann't it's hung up on that thar stump... what about that one? it's hung up on a stump over thar, pointing ta the other side of the boat..  what about that one?  professional over ride,  & it's hung up in the tree up yonder..   wish i would have had a video camera that day...

I just don't use that type of reel.
