Anyone have a link(s) to a good online fishing guide/.pdf. I'm just looking for a general freshwater fishing guide. Can be all types of fish, locally we have lots of pikes, bass, catfish, and walleyes, along with your general bluegill, perch, and other fish. Any and all help will be appreciated team. Thanks!

Well, knowing how to fish is knowing how the fish and their bait behave. A little observation of the outdoor is all that's needed. In my experience, fishing is more of a folk art - something passed down from one generation to another - and has no honest-to-god "technique". It's mostly knowing where the fish are biting, on what, under which conditions, and when.

Failing that, check out wikipedia articles like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perch (there's certain to be one for each fish you mention). The fishing techniques for the fish you list are not only varied but often entirely different (catfish: stinky shit on a hook at night; bass: varied techniques, perch, bluegill, sunnies, etc: pretty much anything).

Bass is my favorite fishing. They tend to prefer semi-deeper waters but feed in the shallows, so the best time to catch them is when the water is calm and the sky is overcast. Some people bob for them with a boat, some people like to cast into the shallows.

Honestly, I've caught everything on your list with nothing but a bobbed worm. If you're fishing for fun or food, there's not much to it.
