I use 2.25" quickspins on my indoor/outdoor target and 3D arrows, and  FOBS on my hunting arrows.
For the glue, I use Fletch-tite II instant set.
I don't use wraps.
My jig is a Bitzenberger with the Zenith upgrade.

On a related note, I shot a couple of field points at 30 yards, then shot a lone spitfire to see how it flys relative to the field points before bow season started and the spitfire shaved the white fletching off one of my arrows as it tried to occupy the same hole as my field point.

Is this fixable and what is the best way. it's a carbon express rebel lite with very small fletching. Is that something I can do myself, or should a shop do it. Is it worth doing?

It's easily fixable if you have a fletching jig, or if you take it to a shop(they'll certainly have a jig).  The going rate around here for fletching repair is about a buck a fletch.  Deffinately worth doing.  I wouldn't do it without a jig because it's unlikely that you'll get it in the exact place as the one you're replacing.

By the way, that's really good shooting.

Glue: Bohning Quatum XT.

Fletching: Depends, most of my arrows have Blazers on them, but I fletch alot of friends arrows with everything from regular dura vanes up to delta cut feathers, LOL

Jigs: Dont even bother with anything other than a Bitzenbeger (its only expensive once, LOL).

Wraps: Pretty much what ever catches my eye. I have had alot of good results with ez-eye wraps.

See above for what I use. I do probably 4-5 dozen arrows a year between my personal ones and ones for buddies.

Damn, I feel old, I make my own Arrows, have for 25 years of course I make them from Cedar Shafts, use Bohning Glue, Bitzenberger Jig, Ferr-L-Tite to glue my tips on and Maxi Fletch that I use a Feather Chopper on and I always Dipped my Arrows.
I have used a Feather Burner a few times but didn't like it as much as the Chopper, but I had a Jig that did all 3 sides at the same time, I still have it around here because my Kids use it on their Carbon Pencils that they shoot

I tried the Bohning instant gel but the first thing the fletching touched was glued to the fletching.

I am using the Bohning Platinum and it doesn't set as quick so you have a bit of time and a bit of room to recover from a mistake.

Just FYI

2" blazer

2" quickspins ST hunters..

Battle Drum arrow wraps

"gorilla glue" brand super blue  (cheap, get it locally, just as good as any other stuff ive used)

I have a bohning fletcher..  that sucks....   i have a 6 arrow Jo Jan...which works well if im NOT fletching with the QS's (just blazers)  and for quickspins i use an Arizone EZ Fletch

im telling you.. if your starting off doing your own fletchings..   save yourself the trouble and time,, get an Arizona EZ Fletch.. and a gallon of acetone..   youll thank me later!!!

i am ordering 4 more EZ fletches so i can do more then one arrow at a time..  since i do about 400 to 500 arrows a year..

i havnt used blazers for a long time now..  i like the QS's even though they are heavier..

FOBS are the way to go!

FOB's are nice but they do not work with everybody/every bow. On my bow they shoot OK but I get interferance btw my face and the FOB when I am at full draw with causes inconsistency, for me.

Not saying you have too long of a draw, but that problem really stands out for those that do.  If you have a high anchor point, they might bother you also.

I use them with fixed blade broadheads.  Dramatic difference in flight between FOBS and Blazers or Quickspins on my hunting setup.

I agree with the FOB issues that folks can have.  I use a Wisker Bicuit, so that ends the FOB allure for me.

Also, I've found that a drop of glue placed on each end of the fletch after they are taken off the jig keeps them in place really well.  NOT TOO MUCH though...

Thinking that FOB wouldn't feel so great going across my hand or into the belly of my longbow.

Turkey feathers,
