| Should I ever clean the string/cable's with anything before I wax it. |

Quoted:
Wipe off any mud. Other than that, you're good to go.
What kind of wax are you putting on? Dude, why you dragging that SBXT through the mud?
Texan- I agree. Wipe off any course dirt and wax away. Talon- I wax my string after every session. Maybe a little overkill, but I either do it every time or forget every time...I fail conservatively. |

How often do you wax? It depends how much I shoot. I don't think you can overdue it, provided you wipe off the excess. You can deffinately not do it enough though. In hunting season, I often sit with my bow on my lap. I need to keep up on the wax pretty much everytime I hunt or the string starts to get a little fuzzy. Once it does that, it's all downhill from there. |

During the 'slow' periods of the day if I'm comfortable that I can get away with the movement, I'll wax the string on stand if it's had a rough day of being drug through the woods or as you noted resting on my lap. It's also a GREAT way to warm up that release trigger finger that isn't in a glove on cold days |
