I'm dusting off my gear for the 2009 season. I got drawn for a AO Utah tag for the Paunsugant area. So, I'm about to tear up a 3D target warming up on my quartering shots. I've always wondered why they don't offer replacable hams. Maybe I'll just repair the holes.

What's everyone else doing to get ready?

I just got drawn for the Southern Unit.  Had Oak Creek unit last year so Paunsugant area is a no no for two more years.
Good luck!!

This is my first year with a bow so I'm just getting ready for deer season in the fall!

I try to practice daily on my 3D's and bag.

The thought of hunting with my bow (compared to a rifle) has really got me excited.

I've messed around a little at our club's montly 3D shoot - other than that I've really slacked off this year so far.

Been turkey hunting...I'm officially well conditioned at carrying my bow through the woods and admitting defeat.

I got so good at this last deer season I changed my bows name from Katera to Karrytera.

I'm considering borrowing one of my dad's crossbow bolts and buying a sling shot.
Significantly lighter, able to carry in a turkey vest and will be just as effective as the ol' switchback has been for every need thus far this spring.

Maybe this year it can earn the name Killatera.

I'll be out hunting and still not satisfied that I'm ready.  Always looking to change/improve something.

What area are you hunting? Panguitch? Fish Lake?
