Archery season opens 7/12 in CA for coastal Muleys.

I saw a nice buck last weekend during my scouting trip.

Can't wait!

Anyone else especially looking forward to deer season '08?

You ain't joking. I've done a little scouting with favorable results, but have a lot left to do.

I have about 10 days before the opener, and am running behind. I need to shoot 3-400 more arrows, and get my area maps downloaded onto my GPS.

What are you behind on?

A zone, just north of San Simeon. A zone archery opened on 7/12.

I got there opening morning just to find that they had closed the ENTIRE national forest north of hwy 46 because of the Indians fire 75 MILES NORTH! I was beyond pissed.
