I had a Tri-Tronics Sport Basic G3, until my GSP slipped it off when I wasn't looking and chewed up the receiver. Luckily I had gotten the Bass Pro Gear Guard when I bought it. I got my gift card from Bass Pro to replace it but they have now dropped the Tri-Tronics brand.

So I am looking at replacing it with the SportDOG SD-800 or the Dogtra 280 NCP.

Anyone have any experience with either one?

I really liked the Tri-Tronics and would like to replace with one similar or even better if possible.

Thanks guy.

The Dogtra ones I have seen do not offer the beep, only the vibrate as an alternative to shocking. I really like the SportDog for my GSP.

yep, thats true, i use the beep alot on my GSP, its really the only thing i need on the collar now. My GSP hasnt eaten the collar but has chewed about a dozen of my daughters barbies, my friend left his in the truck and it ate most of the steering wheel and all of his cell phone.
