Can you trap them?

Deer stand with a camo skirt around it to hide your movement.  If you can get a full elevated blind that would be even better hide you present completely.  Put your electronic caller and/or decoy out in front of you and call them in.  If it's really dense switch to a shotgun with a heavy buckshot load for quicker snap shooting.

Shotgun with dead coyote load and use  a carlson choke tube. Basically the same set up we use & i've seen it be deadly out to about 70yrds

If you want to control a coyote problem trapping is your best bet.  Hunting them is fun, but you won't kill enough of them before they smarten up.

Tree stand and electronic call on the ground. I haven't done this, but that's what I'd try. In wooded areas they are likely to circle around and come in from unexpected directions, staying concealed until close. Being elevated will help.

Poison bait if legal.  Traps and snares if not.  You'll need to move the traps and snares after each capture.

Poison is illegal nationwide unless you work ADC for the Gubbmint.

No.
The best place to trap a coyote is where one has been previously trapped. Trap circles are the best bait.

OP.

Contact someone from the Ohio Trappers Association if you are serious. You can also try reaching out to someone on Trapperman.com. There's probably an experienced trapper close to you that would be willing to help and/or teach you a new hobby.

Good luck
