| Anyone have a recommendation for a site to get quality topo maps from? Just bought some property in NY that is adjacent to a hunting club I belong to and the terrain is supprisingly difficult to navigate and I would like to get my hands on a topo of the area. Â Ideally I would like to provide the property boundaries from the survey and have the boundaries marked on the map. Â Any suggestions? |

You could do worse than the USGS Store.
Green Trails starts with the USGS topos and adds additional content. I see they cover NY now. ETA - Forget Green Trails. The only map they have for NY is for Central Park. |

Where in NY?
Do you have a handheld GPS? I have a Dakota 20 from Garmin. It's small but the topo is really accurate and helpful. I think I had to buy the maps package but it's been so long I forgot. If it's inside of the Adirondacks or Catskills there are likely better maps available that are designed for hikers which cover the state parks. |
