Looking to pick up a flashlight for my family for the Holidays. With the new pups, night-time walks down the driveway and along the road are the norm. Being that we live in the middle of nowhere, it's nice to have a good light. This light will be used every night, because of this, I'm looking for one that can sit in the charger every day with no negative effects, or one that will only have to be charged every once in a while (aka: if it has a "smart charger" I'm not too concerned with battery life so long as it is 1 hour on high setting). Thanks in advance for your help guys!

Here's what I'm looking for:
LED (100+ lumens)
multiple power settings, easy-to-use
Rechargeable
Durable
$75

Raise your price point a little bit and get a Streamlight Poly Stinger DS.  It'll do everything you need.

Why not just get a 400+ lumen flashlight and run rechargeable lithium batteries?  You can do that for less than $20, including batteries and charger.

Is the AC steady charger suitable for leaving the light plugged in?

They deal with batteries now. Although not rechargeable, trying to avoid.

I'm assuming that you are referring to the Stinger.  Yes you can leave it plugged in.  A typical battery last 2-3 years on average depending on use.  The Singer batteries aren't expensive either when it's time to replace it.  Less than $20 for a replacement battery.

I work LE and I use mine all the time.  I work 10 hr shifts normally and occasionally work 14 hr shifts.  In the winter, my 14 hr shifts are all in darkness.  I've never run the battery down and I've used the light a LOT in my shift.

PolyStinger DS LED about $100

Regular PolyStinger LED about $90

The DS is the dual switch.  Nice option but I rarely use the rear switch.

Another option is the Strion for about $95

Thanks for all of the advice. Picked up a polystinger from optics planet with ac/dc chargers and two holders for just over $90 shipped.

Yep, C4
At first I was hesitant because the description still features details from the older model "30 hour-life xenon, spare bulb", but I'm quite confident that someone just missed that when the led version came out. It's clearly marked as C4 LED and being returnable till January 15th, I couldn't say no.
