I need some new gloves for skiing, I am able to spend 1-2 weeks a years skiing so they don't have to be to nice but I do realize that "you get what you pay for". So what do you recomend?

I'd recommend looking at the offerings from Outdoor Research. I've been wearing a pair of their Arete gloves for 5-6 years now.

I prefer mittens, they are much warmer. OR, Dakine, Ride, are my favorite brands. Keep an eye out for end of season deals going on this month.

This. I wear Arete gloves daily. Warm, snug, windproof, and unfailingly dry. Nothing worse than damp gloves.

Black Diamond Guide gloves and Grandoe are both warm and work well.

The Guides are overkill. I'd go with the Viragos and even those are expensive.

I found a good deal on the dakine apollo, I hadn't actually heard of dakine before, they are very nice. Warm and dry.
