I'm looking into picking up a GPS unit so my wife and I can start geocaching and geotagging photos.  I'm having a hard time finding a GPS unit that can be used for geotagging (without getting into the super expensive models).  I contacted Garmin and they said that the only units that can save a track with timestamps are the Oregon and Colorado models.  However, this thread shows that a less expensive model has the capabilities of storing tracks.  If possible I'd like to get something with color like the Garmin Venture HC.  Any recommendations?

Garmin all the way.  I have the Legen, 60csx, and 2 nuvi's.  the legend and 60csx both log tracks, and I have used them both for geocaching for many years.

They are really good at replacing broken units too
, even when it's not their fault.

Both my Vista and 60CSX save tracks. I use that feature to visually see where I hiked. I love the 60. I think I got a bum Vista.

60csx, or vista hcx, pretty much the same thing but the vista is in a smaller package and cost less.
