I'm just starting my new bolt gun project.  It's going to be a 300 Win Mag built on a Rem 700 action.  I intend to (attempt to) shoot it out to say 1,000yds +/-.

I've got most everything figured out, except for the glass for this gun.

Here's my criteria:

- First Focal Plane

- MRAD

- Variable power to at least 20x

- 50mm objective (min)

- Mil Dot or "Horus-type" reticle

- "Tactical" style turrets

- Zero stop would be nice

- Budget max of $3,000ish

What makes/models should I be looking at?

Thanks in advance

Gide a holler to CS Tactical and talk to Mike Cecil. Good folks for Nightforce.

Vortex Razor GENII 4.5x27x56  - IMO slightly more light through than the Nightforce (having shot both)

Just mounted a new one last night.

If you can stand the weight the gen 2 Razor is simply phenomenal.

I've owned several PMII 5-25s and literally prefer the Razor.  It's an amazing piece of gear.
