I am looking for some help on reticle options. I recently have come across an opportunity to get a Leupold Mark 8 3.5-25x56 at an extremely reduced price. However, have no experience with the various Hours reticle options offered. I do not have any experience with long range precision but do not want to buy twice. I am looking to glass my Mausingfield action and would rather spend the money now and learn as I go. That being said, I like the idea of Tremor 3 but am not a fan how busy it is. The reticle options offered are the H59, Tremor 2 and Tremor 3. Does anyone have any experience with any of the three and what are the benefits?

Guess it depends on the discount. But the Leupold is second focal plane reticle. If you are going to be shooting long range on a regular basis, might want to look at some first focal plane scopes. And to your question, the H59 seems to be the most popular reticle. But I prefer the mil-dot, it is very simple and no clutter in the way. Everything I need, and nothing I don't.

Can you link to the SFP information?

The MK8 is not a SFP scope.

As for reticles, the H59 is probably the most popular.  If you like the idea of the Tremor wind holds, get the Tremor3.

You will get used to any of the reticles pretty quickly.

Those scopes are FFP, not sure what the other poster is talking about.

Those reticles are a little busy for my taste, but the Tremor reticles are kind of neat with the way that the wind holds work.

I would haver to have an absolute smoking deal to consider buying a mk8

Guess I was working on old information. Should have gone to the leupold website to confirm.
