Do any of you guys have plans to build a remington 700 S/A? Im looking to make it exactly like the factory action but built to higher tolerances. Thanks guys!

Best I could find, but doesn't include the bolt though. suppose thats out there too somewhere just search for machinist drawings.

What's your plan of attack here?  What machinery, what work-holding, what material?  Heat treat?  What do you mean by "tighter tolerances"?


There's some stuff involved there that is at least 4th axis CNC material not using castings or MIM.  I'm not saying it's impossible, but I think your odds of "success" (dependent on your definition of "success") may be pretty low.  Then again, I don't know you or what you have at your disposal.

There are a ton of cuts/processes that have to be made, many of them with little margin for error.  Mess up on one of them and the whole project looks like Bubba's magical creation, or is scrap.
