Looking at a new bolt gun for my safe chambered in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor to fill a empty spot.

Saw an article on the Bergara Rifle and the Remington 700 with Magpul stock and AICS bottom metal.

Street retail on both is nearly same or within $50.

Both seem like good starter rifles for light precision and hunting.  If the bug bite sticks, then maybe a custom rifle in the next 3-5 years.

Any opinion on these rifles or has anyone seen a face to face comparison?

I'm very much enjoying it's slightly more expensive sibling the BMP.

They're both based on their B-14 action.  Two lug and smooth as silk.

Understand the guys have a B 14 HMR.  Interested if anyone has the Magpul 700 and can compare...
