Can you please tell me if your company still uses the plastic trigger guard assembly, or if they now use the aluminum? (Mine has a plastic one).
Also, I have heard that the plastic may have been chosen over the aluminum version because of the very rare possiblity that the aluminum versions can get hit hard enough to actually jam access to the trigger at a really bad time (example: in the middle of a firefight). Is this true, or was the use of plastic by Bushmaster more of a cost saving decision? Did your company ever use the plastic trigger guards when making guns for the military, or did you have to use aluminum trigger guards for those contracts?
Thank you in advance :)
