I am looking at sending in my A2 upper with 20 inch barrel with a FSB and have the barrel cut down to 18" OAL with an A2 flash hider and purchase a rock river A4 upper and a Troy TRX 13 extreme forearm and have the barrel installed using the new receiver and forearm.
I know the TRX is too long but do you think notching part of the forearm so it fits over the FSB would be a problem? The FSB is a set screw type. Will a rifle gas system work with the 18 inch barrel with flash hider or an 18 inch overall length with flash hider? As for shop services, do I only need the assembly/disassembly and barrel threading fees? |

Yes, we should be able to notch the rail for you, will run an additional $40.
Yes, an 18" rifle with a rifle length gas system should work fine. As for Shop Service, you will need to select Dis/Re-assemble for FF Upper and Threading for standard barrels. Then note in comments section to notch TRX for FSB, add $40, per Dave. |
