YES, they use locktite. Be very careful doing this. I ended up having to send my lower back to Steve and the shop guys because I couldn't get mine loose to do the exact same thing.
What I was told, and did, was heat the nut and tube with a heat gun and get it good and hot to loosen the locktite before wrenching. Make sure its all secure as well. Even after all that I ended up rounding the teeth on my wrench and marring the nut and tube. If it doesn't feel like its going to come loose fairly easily, I would reccomend sending it to them for the maintenance. They installed the loop for the single point and even gave me a new wrench!
