Long story short, I didn't read the directions and torqued the front screws on my Socom SCAR hand-guard past the manufacturers specifications. Stripped both front yoke screws as well as the yoke itself. Called today expecting to pay for a new yoke and screws. Spoke with Andy in technical support and explained what happened. Andy said "It happens" and politely reminded me of the proper torque settings for the front screws and sent me the parts needed to get my hand-guard fixed up. I was very surprised that MI would eat the cost for something that I was responsible for screwing up.
I will deal exclusively with MI in the future. If they make a version of what I am looking for, they get the sale from here on out. MI just won a loyal customer for life.
