I just got a new Bushmaster .308 and am already in love. It's a 16" flattop w/ Izzy brake and A2 Stock (odd that I don't see that combo on their website), and am looking forward to taking it out to the range this weekend. However, I was going through the manual (am I the only one who reads these every time?), breaking down and lubing the weapon for use and I got the section (page 29) for the safety function check. Something in the wording seems incorrect.http://home.comcast.net/~jonwolf/images/bm.jpg
In case the picture doesn't link:
2.) Place Selector Lever in SAFE position and pull trigger. The hammer should fall.
3.) Place Selector Lever in FIRE position. Pull Trigger. The hammer should not fall.
Now one of three possibilities exists:
a) I am really tired and not reading this right.
b) This is a huge typo
c) My weapon is functioning incorrectly
