Even though I wasn't terribly pleased with their handling of my 6933, I will say that most people are happy with Clyde's Armory (www.policeguns.com).  They have 6933's last I saw but everyone seems to be out of 6921's at the moment.

What was wrong with the 'handling of your 6933'? I've been waiting to order an SBR from Clyde's as their prices are way lower then anyone on Colt SBR's.

Rather than rambling again I'll direct you to read the tacked thread for 6933's here in teh Colt Forum.  You'll see it.  I think I said that I would never recommend them, yet I went and did it.

Does one know if you buy one from an out of state dealer do you then have to pay 2 transfers, one to get it to a dealer in your state then another to get it transferred to the final owner?

Thanks

Only if its on a Form 1 or Form 4 will you have to pay two taxes. Most of the time they are on a Form 3 or Form 5 which will transfer to your dealer tax free from the out of state dealer. If an out of state dealer has the weapon I would bet it would be on a Form 3 or 5 so only one tax............

Yeah I e-mailed them Sunday and asked when they expected more 6921's in stock. The response I received was that they were simply waiting on approval from the BATFE. I saw last night they were listed as back in stock so I took that as a sign.
