First off let me say I love your guys stuff and I am going to continue to order from you all. I have always received great service and extra goodies that I share with my buddies. That being said I have been trying to call you guys for the last week without being able to get through. I figure you guys are swamped though so it is no big deal. Do you have any other contact info on your site beyond the phone number at the bottom left?
I purchased an MI Handguard from you over Christmas, and when I went to install it, the barrel nut broke. It is a T series with the circular barrel nut similar to the YHM barrel nuts.
The freaking wrench went right through the side of the barrel nut (the holes where the wrench goes in) while I was installing it. I dont think I was "hulking out" on it, I was only hand tightening it. It is aluminum so I figure either it was just too thin and I was applying too much pressure on it, or I did something else wrong. I was using a upper vice block so I dont think I torqued it funny, but I could be wrong. The other holes that the barrel wrench where in had blemishes, where it looked like it was about to break out of them as well. When I backed the nut off, same thing, they got blemishes on them where it looked like the metal was warping.
Anyway, long story short, can I return this to you gentlemen, or should I be calling MI? Seeing I was installing it when it broke I completely understand if this is not a Bravo Company issue.
