| Just trying to find out how high this mount is from the rail? Also, just how reliable is this mount for holding zero. I'm looking at putting this on a .308 AR type rifle. Thanks. |

It isn't designed to repeat zero if you remove the mount from the upper and reinstall it, but as far as functioning correctly and maintaining the optic's zero when mounted, it does fine. The inside of the lower radius of the mount is 1 3/16" above the top of the rail, so the centerline would be 1/2 inch higher, or 1 11/16" above the top surface of the rail. Steve/RRA |
